The 48" square pre-fabricated Glass Block/concrete floor panel is centered within a deep coffer in the kitchen ceiling above and the kitchen island below.  Daylight originates in the master bath skylight centered above the panel in the master bathroom above.  On the floor above, the home-owner can walk on the panel as it is flush with the surrounding carpet.  Glass block is frosted on the walking surface.  These panels are often used in sidewalks to illuminate rooms below in downtown settings.
